The incredibly posh pie shop in a top London hotel with a 'pie hole' in the wall

Holborn's Rosewood London is a fancy five-star luxury hotel. Housed in the original headquarters of the Pearl Assurance Company, it's been serving Londoners and tourists since 2013.

The 1914 Edwardian building in which it resides was renovated for £85 million, with the original architectural features painstakingly restored by an expert team of craftsmen. They kept the Grade II-listed street frontage and dome and the grand Pavonazzo marble staircase looking glorious.

And while the hotel is spectacular, it's their restaurant, The Holborn Dining Room, that houses what's arguably their biggest selling point. The Pie Room is entirely dedicated to the humble pie, served in a proper restaurant setting.

For those in a hurry, they're also home to The Pie Hole. The takeaway hatch is an opportunity for passer-by to get a freshly baked golden pastry from a luxury institution.
