Charlie Philbin Obituary, Death – Charlie PHILBIN, the author Charlie (Charles Phillip) Philbin, who was 24 years old at the time of his death on October 6, 2023, passed away. Holly and Phillip Philbin welcomed their son Charlie into the world on September 9, 1999 (9-9-99).

Charlie, who had earned the rank of Eagle Scout, had completed his high school education at Highland Park and was now enrolled at Southern Methodist University. Charlie enjoyed running cross country for Highland Park, where he was a member of the varsity team and served as captain during his senior year.

During his time at SMU, he was an enthusiastic participant in both the BYX and Wesley House organizations. He was a devout Christian who attended church regularly and had a passion for playing hymns on the piano. His favorites were “Amazing Grace” and “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.”

He had an intense love for his buddies, his brothers, and his family. We will never forget you, Charlie, and we love you very much. Cheers! His parents, Holly and Phillip Philbin, as well as his brothers, Luke and Mark Philbin, as well as his grandparents, Dianne and Mark Prothro, as well as his aunts and uncles, Micki and Don Philbin, Jennifer and Sean Vicente, and Traci and Pat Prothro, are among those who will carry on Charlie’s legacy.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by his cousins Michael and Sydney Vicente, Kate Philbin, Adri Kingston, and a large number of his dear friends. His great-grandparents Sharon and Don Philbin, as well as his cousin Donald R. Philbin III, all passed away before Charlie was born. On October 18th, at 10:00 am, there will be a Celebration of Charlie’s Life held in the Sanctuary of the Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas.

This will be followed by a reception in the Great Hall of the church.
